Happy days, the second edition of the Spacious Tarot is now available in the shop. You can order your copy here!

If the original publication of the Spacious Tarot was 2019’s most anticipated tarot event, I think the publication of the second edition of the Spacious Tarot is a solid contender for that same spot in 2020!

Creators Carrie Mallon and Annie Ruygt have kept the newly re-issued Spacious Tarot true to its beloved origins, with its sturdy box, helpful booklet, and dreamy blue card backs, as well as most of the original art that we’ve come to know and love.

The second edition includes just a few tweaks and improvements.

Shall we take a look at what they are?

Let’s start at the beginning, with the box. The back of the box has been redesigned to give a lil’ preview of the juicy contents inside. You can also see the edition number and year is clearly displayed.

The box of the second edition also includes a handy dandy ribbon, to help ease these babies out of their home and into your hands.

Within the deck itself, there are a couple of corrections and design changes. First, that pesky typo that snuck onto the Three of Pentacles is no more:

And the critter on the Five of Pentacles has been redrawn, so we can see more clearly that it is a wolf:

There have also been some minor redraws of some of the line work, on the lotus on the Guardian of Cups:

And on the cup on the Ace of Cups:

A few of the darker cards have also been brightened up – you can see side by side here the Wheel of Fortune, the Hermit, and the High Priestess:

Finally, I noticed that there was a little variance between editions on the colours, which is likely to be expected between print runs. It’s very subtle, and not a major difference by any means. Here’s one of the more obvious examples:
